This art action took place over the course of one day during which various members of the Nashville community were invited to collaborate in an ensemble generated by the sound of ringing machetes. Participants were equipped with machetes amplified by contact microphones and transmitted to a speaker system temporarily installed in the creek bed. They were asked to remove invasive species of underbrush in order to clear trails that will be opened to the public in the future. Participants removed debris left by the flood which was collected and recycled. A stage was constructed underneath the bridge where Antioch Pike crosses over the stream. Local musicians and performers were asked to produce experimental works that respond to the sounds present in the space.
